ABC Entertainment is seeking a seasoned media executive to lead the planning and execution of paid media campaigns for its scripted and unscripted series and specials. The ideal candidate comes with a proven track record of building innovative and breakthrough media campaigns that effectively balance efficiency and scale. They must come with a deep understanding of all marketing channels and experience in tune in media.


  • Provide senior level paid media strategy for ABC Entertainment’s series and specials. Campaigns include consumer, trade and select affiliate programs.
  • Develop innovative and creative media campaigns that drive awareness, intent and tune-in across linear and streaming platforms.
  • Management of media agency.
  • Closely partner with the digital media, strategy and creative teams in development and execution of plans.
  • Partner with research and the data and analytics team to inform development of modeling tools, data collection and application of insights to the media planning process. Develop custom research opportunities for new paid media strategies and tactics. Manage strategic implementation of learnings and results.
  • Provide voice and representation for ABC Entertainment in cross-company media negotiations and strategy councils.
  • Present media campaigns, insights and strategy to senior management, internal partners, affiliates and producers.
  • Facilitate the sharing of learnings and best practices across the broader Disney General Entertainment marketing division.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Expert in all facets of media including: broadcast television, cable, digital, radio, print, OOH, social, programmatic and CTV.
  • Minimum of 10+ years of working experience at a media agency, television network/studio/streaming service or similar work experience.
  • Sound understanding of television landscape including macro trends, business models, tune-in strategies, and consumer habits
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to craft a story, communicate and present it to executives, team members, and outside agencies.
  • Proven track record of 360 media executions and first to market activations.
  • Thinks both creatively and analytically.
  • Excellent relationships and reputation among the media community.
  • Strong written and verbal communication.
  • Proven managerial track record leading direct reports.

Required Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
