The Executive Assistant will provide support for the EVP of the Communication Department and will have the opportunity to interact with and assist the entire publicity team at TBS, TNT and truTV.  This position is often the first point of contact with internal and external partners and must have a positive, can-help attitude.  Our ideal candidate will be organized, pro-active, flexible, able to multi-task and interact  across several projects, executives and teams.  The ability to quickly pivot and address new situations and tasks with a can-do spirit is a must.  This is a demanding, fast-paced position that requires someone who can exercise great judgment, take initiative, demonstrate quick and good thinking skills and be trusted with confidentiality. 

The Job

Executive Assistant for EVP Communications, TNT TBS and truTV

The Daily 

  • Handles a wide range of administrative and executive support-related tasks including coordinating and scheduling high volume of meetings and travel, submits expense reports, processes invoices, directs phone lines
  • Participates in team meetings and brainstorms
  • Tracks and helps distribute press clips and prepares press clip reports. Maintains press lists, bios and other press materials.
  • Assists with planning, staffing, logistics and travel for events including premieres, press junkets, festivals, conventions and other special events 
  • Supports series campaigns, including creating talent itineraries, booking glam, coordinating talent travel, assisting with events
  • Maintains and updates various department and team calendars with ongoing activities

The Essentials 

  • College degree in Communications or a similar field preferred
  • 1-2 years related experience preferred
  • Similar experience directly related to Publicity, Communications and/or Marketing a plus
  • Position requires initiative, problem-solving and follow-through 
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and on weekends or nights as requited for events
  • Exceptional interpersonal, organizational, prioritization and administrative skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be extremely and obsessively detail-oriented, organized and able to multi-task
  • Must have strong phone skills, good judgement and the ability to juggle many different tasks simultaneously without any errors
  • Highly responsible, discreet and sensitive to quick turnaround deadlines
  • A go-getter for whom no job is too big or small
  • Proficiency in Windows, Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • The person in this position will also need to handle many sensitive documents and must be trusted with confidentiality
