The Publicity Coordinator works within the UK Studios Publicity team to provide support to the Managers and Senior Publicity Managers with the development and implementation of publicity plans for specific campaigns.
In this role, as well as providing support on larger titles across the Brand team, you will also have ownership of a larger part of the implementation on smaller titles on the Brand team, gradually moving towards more marque titles with experience. You will also assist the team with the hiring and nurturing of Interns within our early careers programs.

Areas of Responsibility:

  • Support Publicity Management in developing and implementing industry-leading communication campaigns, in line with Studio strategy, across the Theatrical-Home Entertainment lifecycle including Disney+. 
  • Coordinate and build relationships with relevant members of the Studio team, TWDC lines of business and across all elements of the media mix to develop campaigns that are both motivating and memorable. 
  • Work with Burbank/US PR leads and Awards coordinators as a liaison and coordinator of awards campaigns, screenings, set visits, tours and releases including logistics, submissions, security, talent schedules, seating and guest management, etc. 
  • Build & maintain relationships with key stakeholders ensuring alignment with TWDC business needs. Take ownership of selected ‘synergy’ relationships (e.g. Disney Stores, Media Networks). 
  • Manage day to day communications planning for the team and publicity/communication contact databases.
  • Ensuring that PR materials are correctly localised, up to date and available to media via our distribution systems such as image.net and DMS. Managing roll out of content including exclusives with outlets and pitching to key media outlets. Press office duties to also include being a point of contact for enquiries and being reactive to requests from media 
  • Support across the Publicity team on initiatives, events and projects as required
  • Day to day conversations with print, broadcast and online media 
  • Tracking movements within the ever changing media landscape to support strategy across all titles by recognising current trends, conversations and competitor activity and sharing this with the wider TWDC teams

Areas of Accountability:

  • Report to Publicity Manager and Senior Publicity Manager
  • Support the guidance, motivation and development of Publicity Interns. 
  • Build solid relationships with cross company peers for alignment and fluid communication within an integrated structure. 
  • Build strong relationships withs brand teams, and be a natural conduit for briefings and planning / communication. 
  • Demonstrate good organisational and planning skills and use the tools available to monitor and evaluate performance communication and publicity objectives, create UK-specific campaign summaries to feed into regular UK reviews. 

Experience required:

  • Entry-level experience working in film, entertainment or creative communication and publicity sectors. 
  • Theatrical experience and passion for film preferred
