We are seeking a DEI Content Program Manager to be a part of a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) team, which covers Amazon Studios’ original content and licensed studio programming and the Prime Video Service. The core mission of the DEI Team is to ensure diverse representation of talent (in front of and behind the camera, above and below the line); working to dismantle longstanding barriers to success in the industry and inspecting our processes so we do not create or perpetuate inequities; and telling inclusive narratives and marketing those stories to a globally diverse audience. This is done by analyzing the competitive marketplace, working with senior executives to set strategy, monitoring market-by-market and cohort-by-cohort performance, leading business planning, routinely re-evaluating current assumptions, data and processes, and pro-actively identifying new opportunities to excel or differentiate, and craft timely, detailed and actionable recommendations. In addition, this team will be leading and analyzing new business and partnership opportunities in the content space. This role will report to the Sr. DEI Content and Production Program Manager.

You will build the bridge from inclusive ideology to real-life best practices by providing 1) Content Consultation, 2) External Partnerships with DEI-focused organizations, and 3) PR/Marketing insight for key audiences. Content consultation includes greenlight and pre-production assessments, pre-acquisition assessments, festival strategy insight, and creative notes to internal and external stakeholders. External partnerships include identifying key organizations to partner with for additional consultations as needed and supportive programs for industry-based initiatives. You will partner with our PR and Marketing teams to highlight content meant to overserve historically excluded communities, curate content carousels for external cultural marketing efforts, and ensure campaigns are authentic to historically excluded communities. You will work across feature, scripted series, and unscripted series teams across the North American region. You will regularly report out on KPIs and success metrics and report those to key stakeholders.

Key job responsibilities

  • Advise and consult on original and acquired content across various teams to ensure it is culturally accurate, authentic, inclusive, and devoid of stereotypes and tropes.
  • Establish relationships, and manage, third-party consultants for additional content consultations as needed.
  • Collaborate with PR and Marketing teams to ensure content authentically reaches our intended audiences.
  • Build relationships with complimenting external DEI organizations to supply employment recommendations to production partners.
  • Author business documents and reports to communicate state of the business or recommend new content business initiatives.
  • Support the Industry Pipeline Programs Manager in identifying program opportunities with production partners.


  • 5+ years of experience in program or project management
  • Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
  • Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant role
  • Must have 3+ years of previous entertainment experience in film or television.
  • Experience working with departments such as creative, casting, marketing, research, PR, and business affairs
  • Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
  • Experience defining and executing against program requirements
  • Experience and understanding of digital media and/or digital video supply chain
  • Experience creating content strategies for historically excluded communities including women, non-binary people, Black and African-American, Latiné, Native American/Indigenous, Asian/ Pacific Islander, LGBTQIA+, and disabled persons.
  • Experience delivering scaystems & mechanisms that drive inclusive content and scale across regions.


  • Strong creative problem solving and coaching skills
  • Experience overseeing creative aspects of development, production, PR, and marketing.
  • Experience working with a broad network of creators, producers, production companies, writers and talent
  • Ability to operate with ambiguity and develop a comprehensive plan of action to satisfy various stakeholders
