The Warehouse Staff I is an integral part of the Studio Services team. The Warehouse Staff I is the part of the support team that promotes our mission to be the preeminent provider of products and services to the entertainment and advertising communities. This includes contributing individually and as a team member in meeting Company goals and supporting Quixote's mission statement while, displaying a friendly, respectful and optimistic attitude. In addition, this position is responsible for compliance with all policies, procedures, work rules, and Company guidelines. The Class A Driver reports to the Director of Operations, Grip & Lighting and is responsible for providing outstanding front line service to all Company clients.

Driver duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Delivery and pick-up of lighting, grip, camera, expendables, production supplies, sub-rentals, purchases, and repairs, to and from client locations
  • Safely operate lift gates and material handling equipment (forklift) to load, unload, or put away equipment
  • Load and unload trucks and safely strap-off cargo following all proper lifting, pushing, and pulling techniques
  • Work with clients in the check-out and check-in process of grip and lighting equipment at the Quixote facility or on location
  • Accurately and thoroughly complete all paperwork
  • Read and comprehend road maps
  • Follow delivery route instructions to ensure on-time delivery off equipment to the client location
  • Immediately report any issues/problems with vehicles to a member of the management team
  • Maintain cleanliness of the vehicle
  • Operate vehicle in a safe and efficient manner, always adhering to all state and DOT regulations
  • All other duties as assigned

Warehouse Staff duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Accurately and efficiently pull and stage lighting and grip orders from paperwork, in an organized manner
  • Check and test all grip and lighting equipment to ensure proper functioning
  • Work with clients in the check-out and check-in process of grip and lighting equipment at the Quixote facility or on location
  • Create stock checks and short lists to maintain accurate inventory counts
  • Communicate customer requests, order changes, and/ or paperwork specifications to a member of the management team
  • Safely operate lift gates and material handling equipment (forklift) to load, unload, or put away equipment
  • Load and unload trucks following all proper lifting, pushing, and pulling techniques
  • Properly assess and complete minor repairs to equipment
  • Maintain a clean work area at all times
  • Complete all tasks in a safe manner
  • All other duties as assigned

Working Conditions:

  • Activities include regularly working in outside weather conditions, exposure to extremes of temperature, visibility, wet and/or humid conditions and vibrations. Noise level in work environment is usually loud. Dust, mechanical hazards, moving objects, operating vehicle, and shift work.

  • Heavy work: requires ability to continually lift, push, and pull 50 pounds of product individually and occasionally in excess of 100 pounds up to 160 pounds of product in a team lift.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • This job requires you to be fully vaccinated for Covid-19, subject to reasonable accommodation for medical or religious exemption
  • Experience operating material handling equipment
  • Knowledge of Lighting and Grip equipment
  • Ability to effectively communicate with management, clients, and team members
  • Ability to work overtime, weekends, and holidays, as necessary
  • Possess a valid driver's license and excellent driving record
  • CDL is required
  • High school diploma or equivalent education and related experience
  • Ability to perform all duties in a safe manner and in alignment with Company policies and procedures
