House of Max is seeking a Graphic Designer looking to be part of the future of brand storytelling. The desired candidate is able to design a wide variety of graphics; from branding/layout to text-based, illustrations, pitch decks, photo-treatments and beyond. This role will support a studio team whose goal is to create deep emotional connections with consumers and drive meaningful revenue for the WarnerMedia Entertainment properties including HBO Max AVOD, TBS, TNT, True TV, Adult Swim, and WM Kids and Family.

This individual will follow the direction of an Art and/or Creative Director, but also be asked to actively participate on projects providing their own creative point of view. This Graphic Designer will collaborate with Creative Strategy and Studio teams to produce content experiences across linear, digital, social, streaming and experiential platforms – reaching the fandoms of some of the world’s most iconic entertainment IP including HBO Max originals, Rick & Morty, DC Comics, Wonder Woman, Harry Potter, Friends, Impractical Jokers, Conan, and AEW. 

The ideal candidate has experience designing decks in Keynote and Powerpoint, and is also proficient with Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. Storyboarding and key art concept illustration is a plus. Must be confident interfacing with individuals of all levels (both internally and externally), will contribute to internal brainstorms and work in a fast-paced environment that often involves juggling multiple projects at once.

While our teams are currently working from home, eventually this position will report in to offices in Los Angeles or New York City.

The Daily:

  • Experience in photo manipulation, compositing, and creating a variety of graphics from scratch
  • Presentation Design in Powerpoint and Keynote
  • Keen eye and ability to articulate direction for design, motion, layout and typography
  • Provide suggestions to optimize and improve creative processes over time
  • Maintain an in-depth working knowledge of WarnerMedia IP, programming, creator network, talent, key tentpole events and experiences and the company’s various media and social product offerings.
  • Participate in internal and agency/client status meetings
  • Stay on top of industry trends, events, new technologies, unique opportunities

The Essentials:

  • A strong background, and minimum 3 years of design experience
  • Experience in advertising, branded content, or the industry of entertainment
  • Strong attention to detail, organized, and able to work independently
  • Experience executing against tight production schedules for defined assets
  • Able to manage multiple projects and extremely tight deadlines in a high-paced environment
  • Must be a self-starter and a strong problem solver
  • Ability to work well with different personalities and within a team setting
