The staff accountant will report to the Assistant Controller and will be responsible for general corporate accounting and working across each of our businesses including Studio, Branded Content and Representation. This role requires strong attention to detail and time management skills in order to accurately account for transactions for our dynamic and growing business.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Participate in our monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes and related activities, to ensure complete and accurate financials in accordance with U.S. GAAP
- Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and trend analysis for accounts including cash, fixed assets, prepaids, and corporate credit cards
- Manage and oversee all bank account administration (e.g., new set ups, maintenance and signatory changes) and entitlements for our online banking platforms, including business, loan and credit cards
- Perform entity and tax compliance tracking and monitoring, ensuring timely reporting and filing of statements and payments for Federal, State and Local tax purposes
- Support the timely close and reconciliation of company bank accounts, including preparation of journal entries in the company’s Sage Intacct ERP system
- Support audit requests – research selections, respond to inquiries, and compile necessary data to fulfill the requests
- Reconcile, research, and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
- Assist with special projects and analysis, as needed

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business or Finance
- 1-2 years of accounting experience, including preparing journal entries and reconciling bank accounts
- CPA or CPA eligible preferred
- Extremely detail-oriented, organized, and able to meet tight deadlines
- Excellent time management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
- Self-starter, excited to learn about our business and be part of a strong Accounting and Finance team
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams, SharePoint)
- Must be able to work independently as well as with a team, in a fast-paced and high-volume environment
