Responsibilities:
- Pitch and book talent for celebrity and other newsmaker appearances and interviews across multiple E! platforms.
- Handle outreach to talent representatives, experts, attorneys, legal authorities and other organizations and contacts when necessary for breaking news and non-breaking news stories. This will include bringing in on and off the record information for news reporting purposes.
- Ideate and pitch unique content opportunities for E! coverage and work on stories requested by the editorial team.
- Coordinate talent appearances and act as liaison between talent representation and writers, editors, producers and team regarding logistics and interview topics.
- Develop questions, conduct and transcribe interviews as needed.
- Develop strong relationships with talent representatives, studios, attorneys, authorities, magazine and book publishers, podcast networks, brands and other contacts to secure exclusives and other cooperatives.
- Booking and coordination of events as requested.
- Stay abreast of pop culture and upcoming entertainment events and work with team to translate them into booking opportunities.
- Other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree
- 3+ years of experience in the celebrity entertainment industry in TV, print, or online publications
- Experience working directly with celebrity publicists, managers, agents, attorneys, studios and talent
- Experience booking celebrity appearances and cooperative features
- Experience coordinating or managing staff
- Must work flexible hours including early mornings, nights, weekends and holidays
- Experience handling outreach to multiple parties at the pace required for breaking news stories
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Must have work authorization to work in the United States.
