Crooked is hiring for a Studio Technician on the Video department reporting to Sr. Director of Video. This role will focus on running the video side of Crooked’s recording studios and providing camera and lighting direction for all Crooked video.
How You’ll Spend Your Time:
Lead physical video production on all in-studio shoots
- Design lighting plans for all in-studio shows
- Work with video team members assigned to each show to prep lights and cameras for each session
- Run camera or switchboard during recording sessions and assist with the transfer of footage to Producer/Editor upon wrapping
- Perform occasional quick edit projects when needed
Oversee and maintain Crooked’s video equipment inventory
- Track inventory of video equipment to keep items safe, in good condition, and ready for use
- Perform light maintenance to make sure all equipment is running correctly
- Build camera packages for offsite shoots based on the needs of each project balanced with what will still be needed in studio
Act as Director of Photography or Camera Operator on Off-Site Video Shoots
- Work with Video Producers to plan tech needs for any off-site video shoots (either here in Los Angeles or occasional travel situations)
- Prep could include site visits to determine lighting needs
- Lead camera/lighting setup at all locations

What You’ll Bring To The Table:
- 3-5 years of experience working in a studio or production company setting
- Working knowledge of Sony FX6 (or similar) cameras
