The Senior Accountant will support the Program Accounting & Overhead functions as well as assist with other operational accounting functions, inclusive of various ad hoc requests. This role will work with a team of accounting professionals under a hybrid / agile working model and reports to Sr. Manager, Accounting.
• Prepare monthly cost of sales for Primetime series and specials
• Process license fee, residual payments for series/specials
• Prepare journal entries for Studios and Entertainment overhead, as well as quarterly accruals and recurring journals
• Assist in the preparation of the quarterly production tax incentive schedule as well as other monthly/quarterly deliverables
• Prepare and confirm intercompany transfers across various divisions
• Assist in the preparation of the yearly tax Schedules for Entertainment
• Assist with quarterly internal /external audit requests
• Prepare and reconcile monthly clearing account report
• Support and work closely with Studios & Entertainment financial reporting teams and Production finance team
• Participate in the implementation of new ERP system
• Participate and assist in identifying process improvement opportunities and build efficiencies
• Assist in ad-hoc reports and special projects as requested
Basic Qualifications
• 3-5+ years of progressive Accounting/Finance experience
• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting required
