The Theatre Department at California State University in Turlock, seeks a part-time costume technician. This position works 10 months per year, with June 15 - August 15 off each year.

Responsibilities: 
The Costume Technician works independently with limited creative or technical direction and plays a pivotal role as a creative and technically adept member of the production team. This position crafts costumes according to design specifications, manages complex projects independently, prioritizes safety and quality, fostering collaboration.
Qualifications:
· One to two years of experience working for a theater, repertory or stock company engaged in costume construction.
· Bachelor's degree in Theater or related field.
· Three years of experience in a similar role within the performing arts or related industry.
· Demonstrated expertise in costume construction.
· Proficiency in using relevant equipment related to costume design, production, and maintenance (e.g. sewing machines, fabric cutters, mannequins).
· Experience providing lead work direction or mentoring to junior staff members or students in a production setting.
