Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Support and assist producers, artists, and engineers as needed in all areas of project management and day-to-day operations of the sound post department
  • Enter and track room, artist, and equipment bookings, overseeing all elements of a job in the company’s project management software
  • Coordinate and oversee artist assignments, freelancer engagements, equipment and room needs, etc.
  • Review and maintain client and job information, including bids and invoices, in Actualize It and other administrative systems
  • Communicate with sound post clients proactively and responsively on all matters related to the department
  • Outline and predict possible scheduling conflicts and work with department leads to prevent them
  • Manage vault inventory and systems status, in partnership with engineering teams
  • Oversee assignments of artists (staff and freelance) and inventory of supplies and equipment for the sound post department, coordinating orders consistent with company guidelines and ensure stock levels are appropriate to provision upcoming projects
  • Assist producers and engineers in ensuring a top-quality client experience at all times
  • Interface with studio services team seamlessly to coordinate messenger runs to and from clients, as well as other client-requested meal/supply purchases
  • Other responsibilities, as needed and required


  • “People person” and comfortable interfacing with both clients and fellow staff
  • Interested in a career of project management or producing
  • Highly organized and diligent in being responsive and having attention to detail
  • Ability to problem solve in a fast-paced environment
  • Passionate for the creative process and is enthusiastic to work with filmmakers and artists in the final stages of their projects
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, Box, Google Apps
  • Possess some technical understanding of professional post-production workflows
