ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work with event producers and /or project managers to facilitate and streamline the forecasting/settlement process
- Supervise accounting team on a daily basis, mentoring them and helping them further develop their accounting and analytical skills
- Approve, prepare and post journal entries, as applicable related to music business activities including tour/festival settlements.
- Prepare/review artist/partner settlements for event closeouts and provide explanations for variances to forecasts and/or budgets
- Liaison with Music operations team for tour/festival settlements
- Perform/review GL account reconciliations as requested
- Assist with quarterly/year-end financial statement audit requests
- Prepare monthly state sales tax filings, as applicable
- Respond to various ad-hoc requests
- Administrative & Other Responsibilities
- Other general administrative duties (e.g., order processing, data entry, etc.) as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS
- Required Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Minimum 4-6 years of progressive accounting experience, managerial experience preferred
- Music industry experience preferred
- Accounting degree required, CPA or CPA candidate a plus
- Strong analytical and accounting skills, as well as excellent attention to detail
- Experience with accounting ERP system such as NetSuite preferred
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Ability to learn and digest new things quickly
- Strong organizational skills with ability to multi-task
